After gaining a BSc in Electronic Imaging and Media Communications he worked at Leeds College of Technology for 5 years as a front-end developer and animator, creating websites and online learning materials. He specialised in Flash, creating interactive modules and animations for distance learning courses. He then moved to a digital agency, and has worked as a digital project manager for various agencies in Sheffield and Manchester, for clients including Morrisons, The Co-operative Bank, HMV, Prudential Insurance and the illustrator Quentin Blake. Paul’s claim to fame is that he was in the ‘semi-legendary’ indie band The Wedding Present. He was lucky enough to play such venues as New York’s CBGBs, The Whiskey a Go Go in Los Angeles, and the London Astoria. In 1992 the band gained a spot in the Guinness Book of Records for the most UK hit singles in one year, after releasing a single every month. (When artists still released 45s!) He still plays guitar in a band in his spare time, although performing to a slightly smaller crowd these days.
