Quba secures Cyber Essentials Certification

The Government and industry backed scheme helps organisations guard against a range of the most common cyber-attacks. 

The Cyber Essentials scheme was developed by the government, the Information Assurance for Small and Medium Enterprises (IASME) consortium and the Information Security Forum. The certification is carried out through self-assessment, outlining a set of basic technical controls aimed at helping organisations of all sizes protect themselves from common online security threats. 

The five main technical controls included in the scheme pertain to firewalls and routers, secure configuration, access control, malware protection and software updates.

The full scheme was launched in 2014, and it is supported by UK industry bodies, such as the Federation of Small Business and CBI. The Cyber Essentials scheme overview is available here.
