Quba recruits digital team to meet growing demand

A sharp increase in demand for its award-winning services has resulted in Sheffield-based digital marketing agency Quba expanding its team of industry-experienced professionals.

Quba is an acknowledged leader in its field, working with big brand names and smaller companies looking to increase traffic to websites, run online marketing campaigns and develop the look and feel of websites.

The new team consists of Jon Eaton, Rebecca Jesson, Naz Haque, Chris Jackson and Richard Lawrence.

The digital marketing division will be headed up by Chris Jackson, who has spent well over a decade specialising in search marketing and has worked with some of the UK’s leading brands, including Thomas Cook, Neilson, Alliance and Leicester, Learndirect and MTV, on strategies for search engine optimisation (SEO), Pay Per Click (PPC) and Social Media.

Chris commented: “I’m delighted to be joining Quba. The agency has a great industry reputation, excellent clients and a truly dedicated team. Quba will be celebrating 10 years in business this year, and I believe that the next 10 years will see us continue to grow our presence in the UK and Yorkshire region as Digital Marketing experts.”

Richard Lawrence joins as an SEO Executive. With an MSc in International Marketing, Richard has a deep understanding of online marketing. Combining technical skills with marketing ability ensures that an extra dimension is added to campaigns he is involved in. His experience within the SEO industry includes winning a DADI award for best SEO campaign with his previous agency. Previous clients include PriceMinister, Daniel Footwear, Pet Protect and Direct Golf.

Rebecca Jesson, Quba’s Social Media Manager, has worked with a wide range of clients, including Bravissimo, Kaleidoscope, Playtex, Warburtons, Northern Foods and Nivea.

Throughout her career she has worked on a wide range of projects ranging from SEO, link building and PPC, viral marketing and seeding, website and email marketing before specialising into Social Media. Her diverse skills are vital for understanding the big picture when it comes to online marketing.

SEO Executive Naz Haque, is the newest member to join Quba’s digital marketing team. Naz is primarily responsible for implementing link building strategies for the numerous clients on board with her role extending to researching the clients, assessing and tracking competition and keeping abreast of the latest trends in SEO. Naz has a background in advertising and mass communications with years of experience in brand building and client servicing in various advertising agencies in Mumbai.

New business account executive Jon Eaton graduated from the University of Sheffield in December with a Masters in Web Journalism. Having worked as a journalist and content editor before joining Quba, Jon has a range of web communications experience and a strong interest in online audience behaviour.
