How can I find out who has visited my website?
Finding out which businesses have visited your website helps you to identify new sales opportunities, evaluate your marketing activity and gain valuable customer insights.
Reverse IP address lookup shows you who is visiting
When you connect to the internet your Internet Service Provider (ISP) assigns you with an IP address which is a set of four numbers seperated with full-stops (e.g. 192.168.1.123). If you are a business or an individual with a static IP address your company details can be found against that number.
Software that Quba now uses, records, looks up and reports on all of the IP addresses that visit our website. This enables us to see the names of companies who are visiting our website. We can also see which search keywords they used and what content they are looking at.
Using the information to improve our marketing
Each morning Jon and I are able to review the list of companies that have been to the Quba website. We then cross reference these records against LinkedIn and our Salesforce database to see if we know any individuals at the company.
Using this combined information we can start to evaluate how best to help. If the contact is an existing client then we can review what they’ve viewed and see if there is anything that can be done to improve our service offering. If it’s a prospect, we can start trying to identify what they’re interested in and work out how to help.
